Beautiful year-round self-drive safari park where you can see a variety of Canadian wildlife. Pick up a bag of carrots at the entrance and feed some of the curious animals that come right up to your car.
On certain dates in summer and fall, you can hike an illuminated forest trail, then enjoy singing and storytelling, during Omega by Night.

HIKES AND TRAILS
The Parcours Louis-Joseph Papineau 10-km, intermediate-level cycling route from Saint-André-Avellin to Saint-Sixte. As you pedal along the gravel path, view works by talented artists participating in the Pierre qui roule (“rolling stone”) art and nature symposium. In winter, the trail is open for snowshoeing!
The Plaisance Falls is a natural and historic site, a great spot for a picnic with family or friends! A scenic lookout, observation points and a hiking trail let you get right up close to the site's spectacular natural beauty. With their 63-metre vertical drop, the Falls were an important economic factor in the founding of the 19th-century village of North Nation Mills, now just a memory.
The Parc des Montagnes Noires de Ripon has 17 trails (total length 25 km) for hiking, mountain biking, fat biking, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and board sports. Explore an 800-acre forest combining the woodland environment of the Petite Nation and the agricultural landscape. You can rent outdoor equipment (cross-country skiing, snowshoe, slide tube, Hok Skiing, Sledging).
